The Mission:

Keeghan's Cell By Cell Foundation was created to raise funds to support children suffering from brain cancer until a cure can be found through research. In addition, the foundation will raise awareness of pediatric brain cancer.

The Purpose:

1. Provide funding to pediatric brain cancer research

2. Provide support to children and their families enduring pediatric brain cancer

3. Raise national awareness of pediatric cancer (mark your calendar - September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month)



My goals for 2010 are to raise enough money to do two things. The first is to raise $1000 to sponsor a dorm at Camp Fantastic, which is a camp for children with cancer that is put on every year in Front Royal, VA by an organization called Special Love for Children with Cancer.  Keeghan attended this camp twice.  The last time was just two weeks before he died.  Even though he was wheelchair bound by that time, they made sure he got to ride his favorite horse every day and do as many of the things he wanted to do as was possible.  For that I will forever be grateful.

My second goal is to raise at least $1000 to sponsor my husband, Mike, in the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's annual Ride for Kids.  The ride in our area will be on October 3, 2010.  He bought a motorcycle after Keeghan died just so that he could ride to raise money for other kids still fighting.
