In 2006 Keeghan was diagnosed with a grade three anaplastic astrocytoma. After two major brain surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy Keeghan continued his fight for more than two years. On August 31, 2008 the tumor, which had returned even more aggressive than before, had just become too big. While many believe that the tumor won, it was Keeghan's victory, because when he died, he killed his cancer.

Shannon and I have created this foundation because Keeghan was a loving, caring, compassionate young man who we know would go through it all again to spare one child from experiencing this horrible fight. This foundation will support research for pediatric brain cancer, as well as provide support to families of other children who are still battling this disease.
